SYNC™ Snacks

SYNC™ Snacks bring mobile support to the City’s at-risk youth by combining kid-friendly and shelf-stable snacks with educational support materials that are key to ending the academic inequities facing too many children living in underserved communities.

These portable boxes contain, among other items, easy-to-open Spaghetti-O’s cups, Oreo Cookies, Nutrigrain bars, Pop Tarts, mini cereal boxes, and fruit cups. Food is packaged along with educational support materials, delivered by QR codes leading to resources cultivated by The Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation, The Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Baltimore, and the City of Baltimore Police Department and are designed to level the playing field and provide at-risk children, adolescents, and teens with access to support in the areas of college guidance and admissions, tutoring, mentor and leadership programming, youth volunteer initiatives, and STEM exercises.

SYNC™ Snacks are delivered weekly in collaboration with the City of Baltimore Police Department’s Community Relations Council to Baltimore’s Boys and Girls Clubs and daily, at the neighborhood level, by City of Baltimore uniformed police officers, local clergy, civic and business leaders to at-risk youth.
